Lake Cumberland, an iconic landmark in the heart of the State of Kentucky, stands as one of the world’s largest manmade lakes. Fed by the rolling waters of the Cumberland River and formed as a result of constructing the Wolf creek dam, Lake Cumberland has over 1200 miles of coastline that stretches across 6 counties; Clinton, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Laurel, Clinton, and Wayne. With major vacation hotspots like Somerset Falls Family Park, General Burnside State Park, and Daniel Boone National Forest, it’s no wonder that 4.5 million vacationers travel to Lake Cumberland each year.

Specifically, Pulaski County is the perfect headquarters to experience all the family activities in the Lake Cumberland Area. Lake Cumberland is a vortex of water adventure with over 65,000 acres of water to explore. There are plenty of good times to experience, fishing records to be broken, and numerous hiking trails to explore. Rent a house boat and spend a day on the water with all the conveniences of home, or take a smaller boat to enjoy extreme water sports such as water skiing.
